This article examines judicial control, which is practiced at various stages of the criminal process in order to protect the constitutional rights and freedoms of citizens, ensuring the legality, reasonableness and fairness of court decisions. This control is exercised both in relation to the preliminary investigation and to court decisions, regardless of their legal force. An important aspect is the determination of the legal nature of this control, which is carried out on the basis of an analysis of the opinions of scientists both from Uzbekistan and from foreign countries. The article examines in detail the experience of advanced foreign countries and the problems of judicial control as a form of exercise of judicial power, and also draws scientific and theoretical conclusions.
