The article discusses the issues of choosing investment projects and evaluating their effectiveness. The issues of cost and risk assessment when choosing investment projects are investigated. Probability theory and mathematical-statistical methods were used for this purpose. To assess the effectiveness of investment projects, indicators such as net present value, internal rate of return and return on investment were used. All methods were applied to the pharmaceutical industry based on experimental data.
