The development of the tourism industry in the regions of the North Caucasus is an extremely important task for Russia. The North Caucasus has an exceptionally huge number of diverse natural, ethnographic and anthropogenic resources. The development of ways to improve the use of Internet technologies in the field of tourism is of great interest, both for individual tourism enterprises and for the tourism industry as a whole, contributing to increasing the attractiveness of tourism in the region. Analysis of information sites dedicated to tourism in the North Caucasus showed that the databases of tourist sites contain a large block of information describing the main attractions of the region, give a detailed description of the natural and socio-economic conditions of the subject, accompanied by a large number of photos. Much less attention is paid to the characteristics of accommodation facilities and catering facilities. Insufficient attention is paid to the characteristics of transport support for the activities of the tourism industry in the region.
