Глобаллашув даврида “миграция” тушунчасининг этимологияси, унинг олимлар томонидан тадқиқ қилиш жараёни, “миграция” тушунчасининг эволюцияси, бу жараёнинг ўзига хос хусусиятлари, жамият тизимига кўрсатадиган таъсири, миграциянинг омиллари тадқиқ қилинган. “Миграция” тушунчасига тор ва кенг ёндашувларнинг сабаблари, унинг универсал характери, бу ижтимоий феноменнинг ижтимоий ва гуманитар фанлардаги талқини, миграцияни ижтимоий-фалсафий нуқтаи назардан тадқиқ қилишнинг зарурлиги, миграциянинг ижтимоий ҳодисалар билан боғлиқлиги, умумилмий назариясини яратиш зарурлиги, миграциянинг фалсафий концепциясини асослаш масалалари ёритилган. Шунингдек, аҳоли миграциясининг ижтимоий-фалсафий муаммолари, аҳоли кўчишининг объектив ва субъектив омиллари, унинг ижобий ва салбий жиҳатлари, олимларнинг миграция тўғрисидага таърифлари, таркибий қисмларининг таснифи ўрганилган.
