Support and development of small business is one of the main priorities of the country's economy, ensuring employment of the population, improving the quality of life, and forming democratic institutions of the middle class and civil society. The article discusses the need to form an effective system of state regulation and support for the implementation of effective measures to encourage the development of small businesses based on the experience of foreign countries. In addition, the article examines the effectiveness of the reforms implemented by some developed countries on the development of small business from the point of view of their functional and economic indicators, and evaluates the possibilities of their application in the conditions of Uzbekistan.
