Comparative analysis of syntactic and prosodic features in spontaneous speech in english and uzbek

Annotatsiya

This study provides a comprehensive comparative analysis of the syntactic and prosodic features of spontaneous speech in English and Uzbek. The research investigates sentence structure, intonation patterns, pauses, and rhythm within naturally occurring speech samples. The corpus consists of 100 samples (50 English, 50 Uzbek) collected from interviews, informal conversations, classroom interactions, and media sources. Methods include comparative, descriptive, statistical, syntactic, and prosodic analysis. Findings highlight both universal and language-specific patterns in syntactic constructions, pause placement, stress patterns, and intonational contours.
