One of the most studied areas of research in medicine is the physiological processes underlying menopause. Menopause is a natural physiological stage in a woman's life during which, in the context of general age-related changes in the body, involutional processes in the reproductive system occur. This period is characterized by the gradual decline of childbearing function, and then the cessation of menstrual activity. The state of health of women in the premenopausal period will change significantly in comparison with the previous period and in connection with modern living conditions. Numerous studies confirm that vitamin D is a multifaceted bioregulator with a wide range of actions. This emphasizes the importance of timely correction of vitamin D deficiency and reveals the wide potential of its use. In recent years, there has been an increase in the number of cases of pathologic course of menopause affecting approximately half of women in the general population.
