This article discusses the improvement of the reliability of automation and telemechanics devices on railway sections based on contactless identification technology. Cases of unexpected equipment failures have been studied, and methods and schemes for servicing field devices have been developed. Additionally, a method for data transmission and reception using modern contactless elements and radio-frequency identification (RFID) technology has been proposed to enhance the efficiency of the maintenance process
