This article provides a detailed analysis of the modern methods of combating eimeriosis (coccidiosis), a disease widespread on poultry farms, in particular of the effectiveness, the advantages and the limitations of vaccines and anticoccidial drugs. On the basis of scientific sources, the study covers the mechanism of action of ionophore and chemical anticoccidial preparations, the strategies of their use, the formation of drug resistance in parasites and the global-scale consequences of this process.
