Исследован механизм действия местных налогов и сборов в Республике Узбекистан,определены их роль в формировании доходной базы местных бюджетов и значение в обеспечениифинансовой устойчивости регионов. Раскрыты теоретические основы местного налогообложения,проанализирована действующая система налогов в соответствии с Налоговым кодексом РеспубликиУзбекистан, выявлены основные тенденции и проблемы её функционирования. Особое вниманиеуделено цифровизации налогового администрирования, расширению налоговой базы и повышениюэффективности налоговых поступлений. По результатам исследования разработаны практическиепредложения по совершенствованию механизма местных налогов и сборов, усилению их стимулирующейфункции и сокращению межрегиональных финансовых диспропорций.
