Annotatsiya

This article analyzes scientific research in the field of hydrology and water resources based on a bibliometric approach. The purpose of the study is to identify development trends, leading journals, highly cited articles, active authors, and main thematic areas of scientific publications published in the Scopus database during 2010–2026. For the study, 944 scientific articles were selected, and their publication dynamics, source types, journal activity, author contributions, citation indicators, and keyword network were analyzed. Bibliometric analysis was carried out using the Biblioshiny platform, while visualization was performed using VOSviewer and Excel software. The results showed that Water Switzerland, Journal of Hydrology, and Water Resources Research are leading scientific platforms in this field. The most cited articles were related to climate change, hydrological modeling, and water resources management. The keyword network confirmed that the concepts of “climate change”, “remote sensing”, “reservoir”, “water balance”, and “machine learning” are at the center of research. Bibliometric analysis was found to be an effective tool for identifying the priority areas of the field.
