The article examines the importance of using information resources in scientific and educational activities and their impact on improving the quality of scientific research and dissertations. The role of information and library institutions in organizing online access to scientific information, completing the collection based on the analysis of user needs is shown. The author also touches upon the actual problem of plagiarism in science and provides information on the Russian system for detecting text borrowings Antiplagiat, which most closely meets the needs of scientific and educational institutions of Uzbekistan
