IoT (Internet of Things) technology, the core technology of the 4th industrial revolution, is currently being applied in various ways. Among them, the most basic application is the smart office. It measures the temperature, humidity, and amount of light in the office, analyzes the measured data, and issues a warning when the temperature exceeds a certain level. In the cold winter, the heater is turned on before going to work, and in the hot summer, the air-condition is turned on to create a pleasant environment. This study implemented a device that specified the temperature of the office, transferred the data to the server, and displayed it on the server screen. In case of an emergency, it is possible to take an early warning in the field as soon as data is transmitted to the server. The system is transmitted from the local computer to the server using serial communication, and the local computer program is written in C language. The server analyzed and displayed the data using the Python language. As a result, a basic smart office construction was implemented.
