As the effectiveness of the international system's stabilizing mechanisms deteriorates, an increasing number of states are tempted to pursue pragmatic policies motivated primarily by self-interest. The challenges of realistic and objective assessment of such interests, as they relate to history, geography, economic viability, and reality, are relevant today. A positive view of one's position in the world and in the area, which permits the realistic design and implementation of national development goals, is the first requirement for a successful foreign and domestic policy. This also applies to the countries of Central Asia. The creation of a more autonomous, predictable, and long-lasting domain within global politics is facilitated by enhancing collaboration and developing increased political trust among regional players. Current changes require adjustments to the regional and national development agendas. The major goals of the regional players' foreign policy endeavors were to increase their influence in global affairs, foster stability in Central Asia, and foster good neighbor relations.
