Uzbekistan has made considerable advancements in the rights of those with disabilities in recent years. Domestic law in this domain has seen substantial modifications. The Law on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities was passed in October 2020, and the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities was ratified in 2021. The President and Cabinet of Ministers have also promulgated other decrees and decisions to advance these aims.
