The purpose of the article is to study specific aspects of the pattern of continuity, its place and role in the formation of moral values and social development, as well as to determine the importance of the continuity of moral values in the life of modern society based on spiritual and moral heritage. The issues of social development and continuity, dialectical and synergetic development according to inheritance law are covered. One of the main types of inheritance is the inheritance of moral values; on the basis of the spiritual and moral heritage, its essence, patterns of development and significance in the life of modern society are analyzed. The article reveals the essence of the content of morality, the category of morality, and the importance of moral values in the life of society based on the law of continuity. The historically correct perception of continuity, the theoretically and practically correct approach to it, is based on the fact that this allows one to rationally comprehend the real phenomena and events taking place in society. The article also explains that moral development is based on continuity, an inheritance of moral values, the study of tribal culture, spirituality, the development of innovations, their integration into life, the adoption of the past heritage according to certain laws, and transmission to future generations. In conclusion, it is noted that continuity is a socio-philosophical, historical phenomenon of national civilization, as well as the importance of positive continuity of the heritage of ancestors and its correct understanding for the formation of the morality of a new era today.
