This article talks about the advantages of effective use of multimedia educational resources in foreign language education. Therefore, the characteristics of the development of students’ speech competence (listening, speaking, reading, writing), the purposes of using multimedia tools in foreign language education, the content and types of multimedia educational resources used in foreign language education are explained on the basis of analytical data. In addition, opinions were discussed about choosing teaching methods of foreign language teaching and teaching tools by using multimedia tools during the classes. A technological model was recommended based on a certain sequential system of using electronic educational tools in the process of teaching the French language. On the example of a technological map of a sample French language lesson, an opinion is given about modern educational technologies and teaching methods recommended when using multimedia educational tools.
