Annotatsiya

A sample of sulfur had extracted from sulfur-containing oil and gas processing wastes by washing in water and acetone, dissolved in toluene and appreciated the purity by UV spectroscopy method. Sulfur burning is carried out on the surface of a micromesh substrate that covers the bottom of a glass cylinder connected on top of a water-jet pump to generate air flow. The transparency of the cylinder wall made it possible to visually observe the process of melting and burning sulfur at various pressures of air flow. It was revealed that up to 4-fold increase in air pressure there is a directly proportional increase in the heat of combustion of sulfur. A further increase in the pressure of the flow is accompanied by drawing a certain part of the heat outside the cylindrical cell.
