This article considers the tasks of silk industry development, introduction of modern and innovative technologies in the process of growing and processing of cocoons, increasing the production of silk products and their export, as well as indicates the current problems and measures to solve them. Methods of providing continuous length, reducing the number of breaks in the process of rewinding raw silk on standard reels on automatic cocoon winding machines at cocoon production enterprises are shown. Methods of obtaining an emulsion used to soften the adhesion condition of raw silk that is deformed under tension are shown. Substances which are added to the emulsion during preparation are identified as a function of temperature. Formulas for the quantification of emulsion have been developed for widespread use in factories. As an example, the volume of emulsion that can be prepared for softening 100 kg of raw silk is given. The operating principles, technical description and an overview of the existing technology are presented in the laboratory where the emulsion composition is prepared.
