Рассматривается задача аналитического продолжения решения системы уравнений термоупругости в пространственной области по его значениям и значениям его напряжений на части границы этой области, т.е. задача Коши. Задача некорректна. Если ? вещественно аналитична, теорема Коши-Ковалевской применяется к ?, гарантирующему существование локального решения. Мы рассматриваем специальную структуру уравнения термоупругости для получения явных условий глобальной разрешимости и аппроксимационного решения.
