Annotatsiya

. The article examines the semantic, derivational, and functional characteristics of psychological terminology used in the field of developmental psychology. The study is based on a corpus of Russian-language psychological texts published from the 1970s to the beginning of the twenty-first century. Special attention is paid to the internal structure of psychological terms, their paradigmatic relations, semantic variability, and major models of term formation. The research shows that the terminology of developmental psychology represents a complex and hierarchically organized system that is shaped by both intralinguistic and extralinguistic factors. The analysis demonstrates that syntactic term formation is the most productive mechanism in the development of psychological terminology. Borrowing, reterminologization, and semantic transformation also play an important role in the enrichment of the terminological system. The findings confirm that the evolution of psychological terminology is closely connected with the conceptual development of psychology as an interdisciplinary science. The article contributes to the theory of terminology by identifying dominant semantic and derivational tendencies in psychological discourse and by describing the interaction between linguistic form and scientific concept.
