the article analyzes the legal, technical and economic aspects of the conformity assessment and certification system in ensuring the quality and safety of goods. The article examines the experience of these systems at the national and international level, paying special attention to their legal basis and implementation in practice. Also, the role and importance of conformity certificates and declarations of conformity in controlling the quality of goods is emphasized.
