This article analyses, from the standpoint of modern psychology, the views on family relations and on the formation of the personality during adolescence expressed in the works of Eastern thinkers (Ibn Sina, Al-Ghazali, Jalaluddin Rumi). The main aim of the study is to evaluate the ideas found in historical sources in the context of present-day developmental psychology and to determine their scientific novelty and practical significance.
