The article deals with the development of payment system on the basis of a plastic card and its positive influence on money supply in the world financial market. In particular, there were analyzed the growth of the volume of payments by plastic cards among non-cash expenses in European countries for the last years and the positive changes observed in Uzbekistan in the sphere of bank plastic cards.
