Annotatsiya

The molecular mass of silk fibroin was determined by a number of methods, including osmometry, ultracentrifugation, SDS-PAGE, and spectrophotometric methods. In this study, the molecular masses of fibers treated with thermal and microwave radiation in an acidic environment on fibroin fibers obtained from silk fiber waste were determined spectrophotometrically. In experiments conducted to determine the molecular mass, the optical density of solutions of fibers with different concentrations exposed to thermal and microwave radiation was measured at a wavelength of 276 nm. Based on the results obtained, a graph of the dependence of optical density on concentration was constructed. Using the slope of the line from the resulting graph to the concentration axis, it was determined that the molecular mass of the thermally treated fibroin fiber was 398.28 kDa and the molecular mass of the microwave-treated fibroin fiber was 396.68 kDa
