Development of psycholinguistic schools in Russian and uzbek linguistics

Annotatsiya

This article examines the historical development of psycholinguistic schools in Russian and Uzbek linguistics, focusing on their theoretical foundations, methodological approaches, and contributions to contemporary linguistic science. The study analyzes the evolution of psycholinguistic research from Soviet linguistic traditions to modern interdisciplinary perspectives. Particular attention is devoted to the scientific contributions of Lev S. Vygotsky, Alexei A. Leontiev, Alexander R. Luria, Nikolai I. Zhinkin, and leading Uzbek linguists whose studies have significantly influenced the development of psycholinguistics in Central Asia. The article comparatively evaluates the similarities and distinctive features of Russian and Uzbek psycholinguistic traditions, highlighting their role in language acquisition, speech production, cognitive development, and language education. Furthermore, the research discusses the influence of contemporary cognitive linguistics, neurolinguistics, and digital language technologies on the further development of psycholinguistic studies. The findings demonstrate that Russian and Uzbek psycholinguistic schools have developed through close interaction between linguistics, psychology, pedagogy, and neuroscience, creating a solid theoretical basis for current research on language, cognition, and communication. The study also identifies future perspectives for psycholinguistic research in multilingual and multicultural contexts.
