Annotatsiya

In the present study, a Cd(II)–hexamethylenetetramine coordination compound was synthesized in a water–ethanol (1:1) solvent system under controlled conditions. For the synthesis, 0.201 g of CdCl2·H2O and 0.140-0.280 g of HMTA were used as starting materials. The reaction mixture was stirred at 350-500 rpm for 2-3 h at room temperature while maintaining the pH at 5.5-6.5. The obtained solution was cooled slowly and kept for 24 h to complete crystallization. The synthesized complex was characterized by IR spectroscopy in the range of 4000-400 cm⁻1. Comparative spectral analysis revealed noticeable shifts in the characteristic C-N and C-H vibration bands after coordination with Cd(II) ions. Additional absorption bands below 700 cm⁻1 confirmed the formation of Cd-N coordination bonds. The results demonstrated successful synthesis of a stable Cd(II)-HMTA coordination compound suitable for further coordination chemistry investigations.
