Annotatsiya

This study examines the functional and structural characteristics of predicative components in the English and Uzbek languages. Utilizing a contrastive linguistic approach, the research identifies how nominal parts of the predicate behave in an analytical language (English) versus a synthetic-agglutinative one (Uzbek). The findings reveal that while both languages share semantic categories such as identification and attribution, they differ significantly in their syntactic realization, particularly regarding copula usage and evidentiality.
