Today, cost accounting is important for every business entity, the rational organization of which is a direct factor in development. In the era of the development of information technology and the digital economy, this issue is becoming increasingly important. After all, the organization of cost accounting based on automation, which is the core of the digital economy, ensures an increase in the profitability of production and competitiveness of business entities. Based on this, in this article we have considered the issues of improving cost accounting through automation. Currently, accounting is conducted using various modern programs, automated systems, which determines how relevant the question is, since cost accounting directly ensures the accuracy of determining the price of products.
