Regional economic development has attracted the interest of economists, geographers, planners and regional scholars for a long time. And, of course, it is a field that has developed a large body of practitioners from national to regional and local levels in government and business agencies. In the planning of large and small cities and regions, economic development issues are now being integrated into strategic planning processes. This article presents the opinions and conclusions of scientists on the forms and methods of managing the regional economy.
