This article analyzes existing approaches to determining takaful from the point of view of various factors. Based on the study of many theoretical and scientific sources, the principles, rules and features of traditional commercial insurance and tafakul insurance are considered. Based on the functions, principles and rules analyzed in the article, the economic nature and content of takaful is revealed, and the mechanisms for their implementation in modern conditions are shown.
