This article describes the importance of insurance companies in thedevelopment of the national economy. Practical data on financial transactions carried out byinsurance companies is analyzed. Foreign experience in the development of investment activitiesof insurance companies has been studied. Conclusions and proposals for improving the activitiesof insurance companies are formulated
