Conducted dental examination of 103 children 3 years old in Khabarovsk city. Been evaluated by the CEE index, the level of hygiene at the E. M. Kuzmina, cariesogenic of dental plague by the method of J. L. Hardwick, E. В Manley in modification Nedoseko V. B. Determined by the presence and density of contamination by the Lactobacillus spp.of saliva. Dental examination showed a high intensity of caries of3.34±O,29, low level of hygiene of the oral cavity - 0,63±0,03 in children. Cariesogenic of dental plaque was 2.33+0,05. The density of colonies of Lactobacillus spp. averaged 0,40±0,09, which corresponds to the zero class. The results of the studies showed a low informative value of this method in children of early age. The values of contamination of resident lactobacilli in the saliva to 10s can be considered a normal variant.
