The article examines the processes of urbanization in Sirdaryo and Jizzakh regions and their impact on demographic development. It highlights migration trends in urban areas, the role of cities in socio-economic life, population size, gender composition, and population density. The study reveals the essence and significance of these processes and analyzes their influence on regional demographic changes. During the years of independence, a number of socio-economic reforms were implemented in the Sirdaryo Region and Jizzakh Region. The establishment of the Jizzakh Free Economic Zone, as well as the sharp increase in the number of industrial enterprises, contributed to higher employment levels. As a result, significant changes were observed in the population’s daily lifestyle and living conditions.
