Rituals related to the calendar of the year have a special place in the reconstruction of the past and ancient culture of each nation. In particular, the calendar rituals of the Uzbeks of the Fergana Valley stand out among the different calendar rituals of other ethnic groups. This article discusses Uzbek calendar traditions, rituals and holidays, such as “Mehrjon” (sun holiday), “Melon Harvest”, “First Cotton”, “Harvest Festival”, “Wool shearing”, “adding a ram to the herd”.
