This article analyzes archival source studies of documents that provide important information about the processes of formation and development of archival work in Uzbekistan, including Khorezm region, stored in fund 555 of the state archive of Khorezm region. Also, information related to the preservation of documents related to the period of the Khiva Khanate and the Khorezm People's Soviet Republic, and the opening of regional archive departments in the region, is also presented. The article contains a review of the procedures of the collectivion of volumes in the considered fund and the information reflected in them.
