Annotatsiya

The Timurid era witnessed a flourishing of various sciences. Amir Timur, eager to foster intellectual growth, invited scholars to Samarkand and established madrasas for their instruction. Following Timur’s death, Shahrukh, who moved the capital to Herat, continued this patronage of learning, treating scientists and artisans with the same respect as his father and attracting scholars from across the region. This article examines Amir Timur and Shahrukh Mirza’s dedication to the advancement of knowledge. Drawing upon historical evidence, including accounts by contemporary Arab and Persian historians, it explores Sahibqiran Amir Timur’s engagement in scholarly debates and highlights his intellectual acumen.
