This article examines the emergence of the Qadariyya movement, one of the earliest theological schools in Islamic history, and outlines its core doctrinal beliefs. It also discusses how Imam Abu Hanifa engaged in debates with the Qadariyya, refuting their various misconceptions by relying on both reason and revelation. In particular, the article presents rational arguments against the Qadariyya belief in the absolute free will of humans to create their own actions.
