The article analyzes the reflection of political, socio-economic and cultural aspects of the history of the Fergana Valley in the years of independence in the V-X centuries in scientific research and literature. The article reflects the importance of research and studies conducted during the years of independence in the study of the history of Fergana, the peculiarities of the research of this period, which differed from the research conducted abroad and in the Soviet era.
