The article discusses the socio-political situation of the second half of the 16th century in the Bukhara khanate and the role of religious scholars in economic management. In addition, the processes associated with the land ownership of religious scholars and possession of material wealths by scholars were analyzed through primary sources and thematic works by researchers.
