В статье анализирована проблема переселения населения и внутренней миграции в Наманганской области в середине 1950-х гг. Автором указано, что политика переселения, которая была проведена партийными и советскими органами была направлена на освоение целинных и залежных земель в Ферганской долине и дальнейшее развитие хлопководства в Узбекской ССР. Также изучены вопросы социального устройства переселенного населения в новых колхозах и совхозах Наманганской области.
