The IP-based rail transpot network lists the radio communication Reliability Index and methodology for its calculation. In general, the use of the classical graph-probability method for calculating the reliability of an IP radio system (network) does not take into account its peculiarities. That is, it is not taken into account that when one of the nodes(nodes)fails, the system can be reconfigured and the system can work for one direction of packet transmission, and for the other it can be in a state of failure, although the device is considered to be running. For this reason, this article proposes to use a general logical-probabilistic method to calculate the reliability of an IP radio system, where the structure of the object under study is presented as a functional integrity scheme that reflects logicism. The interaction between the elements of the network, which maintains its performance. The general logical-probabilistic method is more accurate compared to other methods for calculating the reliability of communication networks, for example (the method of minimal paths and plots, the method of eliminating elements), and therefore this method is selected.
